Six programs, from infants to four year olds

Each room is built for what the children in it can do next.

Infants, Toddlers, Twos and Threes

General Preschool

In the General Preschool rooms, infants, toddlers, twos and threes spend their days with familiar adults and the same small group. Days follow a steady rhythm, so children know what comes next. Rooms are set up for the age in them: low shelves, open floor space, and materials a child can reach without help.

VPK

540 hours of instructional time, beginning in August. The final hour between 12.00 and 1.00 pm includes lunch as well as an enrichment activity.

Pre VPK

Pre VPK is a bilingual room by design. Teaching staff can communicate with children and parents in English, Spanish and Creole, so nothing gets lost in translation. Children work with the Learn Every Day Curriculum, alongside the Reggio Emilia philosophy and elements of the Montessori Curriculum.

Post VPK Preschool Care

After the VPK session ends at 1, children stay for Post VPK Preschool Care. Every classroom posts a Daily Schedule, designed to be clearly understood by the children themselves. Six weeks of written lesson plans are also posted in each room and kept available for parents to inspect.

Post VPK Preschool Care (part-time)

Part-time Post VPK Preschool Care is for families who need fewer hours after the VPK day ends. Children join the same afternoon, with the same curriculum and the same teachers. Enrichment, outdoor play and meals continue as they do in the full-time afternoon. The daily schedule is posted in the room and written so children can follow it themselves.

Minicamp

Minicamps run during the summer, winter and spring holiday seasons. The same curriculum and the same standard of care carry through from term time. Children from birth through first grade are welcome. Meals, enrichment and outdoor play continue as usual. Ask the office which weeks are running and what to pack.
