At One World Preschools, we use the Learn Every Day Curriculum, follow the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and bring in elements of the Montessori approach. The school first opened in 2007 and has a stable, well-qualified teaching team. Staff speak English, Spanish and Creole with children and parents. We work in partnership with families and offer full-time and part-time scheduling.
Rooms are set up for each age, with low shelves, open floor space, and materials children can reach themselves. The day follows a steady rhythm: arrival and breakfast, small-group learning, outdoor play, lunch, rest, then afternoon activities. Children move between quiet corners and active areas, guided by teachers. The large outdoor play area has shade for hot days.
When you visit, you will see children busy at tables, on the floor, and outside. Teachers kneel to talk with children rather than call across the room. Work is displayed at child height, not adult eye level. The atmosphere is calm and purposeful, with a hum of activity rather than a roar.
What a day looks like
Mornings start between 7. 00am and 9. 00am, with breakfast offered as children arrive. A teacher greets each child by name and helps them settle into a quiet activity. Parents can share how the night went and anything the teachers should know. Children find their cubby and join the room at their own pace.
The middle of the day moves between small-group learning, play, meals and rest. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, formula and infant food are all included, and menus are posted in reception. The large outdoor play area with shade gives children room to run and climb. The program includes science, technology, engineering, art and maths, plus music, dance, language, environmental awareness and sports.
After rest, children play indoors or outside until pickup. They might show you a drawing or a tower they built. Teachers share a quick note about the day, what your child ate, and how they napped. If something needs more time, you can ask to talk away from the doorway.
How we work with families
At pickup, a teacher will tell you how your child ate, slept and played. If you have a question, you can ask then or arrange a longer talk. Staff speak English, Spanish and Creole. We support parents with flexible scheduling that includes full-time and part-time options. If you need to reach someone during the day, call the office.
For a new child, the first weeks are about settling in at a pace that suits them. You can plan a shorter first day and build up from there. Tell the teachers your child's routine at home so we can follow it where we can. We work in partnership with families and adjust as your child grows. Ask us any questions as they come up.

Get in touch
Call (954) 782-2874 and tell us your child's age and the days you need. From there we can talk through which classroom fits and what the next step looks like for your family.

Tour the room
You will see the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Ask them anything about the day, the routines, or how they handle drop-off.

Enroll and settle in
You complete the enrollment forms and we plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We go at your child's pace, adding time as they settle.

Yes, a tour is how most families decide. You can bring your child so they can see the classroom and meet the teachers too.
What should my child bring on the first day?
For a first day, families usually pack a change of clothes, nappies or pull-ups if needed, and a comfort item from home. Label everything with your child's name. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, formula and infant food are provided here.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Please call or ask at the office to find out what is available for your child.
What if there is no place right now?
You can ask to be told when a place opens for your child's age. We will note your details and contact you if something becomes available.
